C: ok ,partially for the presure of my motherfucking friend that almost killed me for saying stuff about this thingy, im doing a redox; this ep ,feel like a mix from the strokes ,beatles ,and something like that even glances of interpol or 2009's arctic monkeys, in essence just indie rock with pop punk, or this other band called bunkers???? and well i think i was a bit too harsh on these guys, but its just feels derivative altough their tunes here are good, is like a carseatheadrest but ... read more
C-: the homonim, the first record without mr dengler being completely a crucial part in the creative process the first time in my life an interpol record feels ........dull, their art rock/post rock attempt falls short with some usual highs that gave me hope in some moments of the album , but other that genually made me feel like if i was hearing the ghost of a band that doesn't quite feel as they should, this was one of the middest dissapointments that i've heard from this band
C-: a somewhat ok almost cdecent record, with some math stuff that i really was hoping they would've explored more and not just in the second track, i was bambozzled by the first track ,but after that, it was like hearing the same stuff over and over, the lyrics were mid, honest yet basic alotugh the voice complements ok their style, so its not a bad record, but it isnt either a great discovery either, my final toughts is that my friend has to stop sending me niche stuff from his scene
C-: Alright its long ,its messy, it has its moments but no way this is something that i would call great, and even so , it was long and for the worse it was a mix of mid tracks with ok even somewhat good tracks with terrible ones, a big roussina roullete with every new play and suprise interlude, and that supersexy woman song left me wondering ; but still it was mid and forgetable for the most part
S-: A freaking masterpiece like, this for me was the second on steroids, not only it is iconic but it redefined and broke trough the genre itself, it took a good rock band to maje themselves legends, call them overrated, idgf, and it come from a somewhat someone who isnt very fond of glam in general, but this is the classiest classic i've ever heard from these guys
B-:What the fuck is Roger doing in the Cover?; good album ,with solid tracks and a decent followup, but doesnt quite hit me the same as the previous conceptual album, but still much better that their debut
A+:great indie rock record from the mid 2000's ; really love how this band are a little bit more experimental with their sound mixing that classic double guitar synergy with some atmospheric and sharp twisted sounds; from catchy tracks that cave you in to more personal and chill tracks that touches you; definetly a non skip album ,altough every single risk pays off some tracks made this feel a tiny bit redundant in their ideas alotugh the uses of the cliches definetly defined the sound of ... read more
B+: great improvement from their debut, the experimental chaos is now orquestated beatifully to achieve i sound i would only tought possible later in their carrer, i really like this conceptual album ,altought a great executed, they are still some flaws , that i still think about the era this record came out ,but they were executing it better ,still great record
C: a decent debut album, freddy mercury already was a powerhouse here vocally ,but altoguh the expeerimentation and gorrviness in deacon basslines and brian may filthy expresiveness , and the piano of mercury, it doesnt come quite as i expected, but after i few relistens i realized it wasnt bad , specially in songs like liar or son and daughter
B-:A good farewell from this over obssed and disfunctional band; with the best i 've ever heard from them so far ,this is now my favourite police record ,really good start to finsh
B-: well this guy were cooking back in the day tha hooks are there and as disfunctional this mdfs where it was a good album with some really underrated tracks and little to not enough room for dissapointment yet, some thing were'nt clicking for me ; i prefer stewart copeland maximalistic and unique drumming, for the police ,but fair enough.
B+: my favourite police album so far, altough a bit more great, were now every single member brings so much to the conversation, and when you think of the police ,now theres only them , the trackshow ever sometimes fall dull in certain moments, but not a bad album at all pretty good record my favourite so far
B-: a somewhat equal good followup for the band, with some good pop rock, post punk tracks, really love some more darkish tones in this ones but sometimes not all the tracks feel as good as their highs like the popular mmesage in the bottle or bring on the night; still pretty good record that i liked
C:The tracks were ok, but somewhat he played it safely its like a water down version of the silk sonic thingy he had going, some tracks are still good, but other was just mid; so yeah ,not somenthing i would return every day
A-:it really sound like something that would still sound after the 70's but other tracks that reggae punly vibe its really ther and its great at doing that but the low tracks and some filler moments dont quite left me where ithink i wouldnt, in a good way, but that affects the album
B-:they went more pop, like the ones i've once first heard bud, also less math , and i love math ,and in this turnaround it pay off, for the better, it makes some great stuff but some transitions really make the album feel like a mix of that classic folks but more dream pop and sometimes even disconnected from one songs to oters still good album
B-: its was good, butfor me i preferred the antidotes one, maybe its just me but this one the hooks and pop atmospheres werent just clincking as good as other tracks , and altough mesmerizing how that riffs are some just sometimes are trying to hard, but apart form that great some tracks are really good
A-:f L that was a monstruous record, i've alwasy heard the pop side of these guys but, men this record, this record right hear is the living proof that ,when experimentation, and usefull meaningfull repetition you can make something great, still some flaws in the aspect that some tracks are somewaht similar, but i was nodding my whole time listen to this thingy , and sometimes the dance punk voice on this record doesnt quite convice me 100% not gonna lie, but beautifull
C+ I quite didnt know that in south america there are alot of people in the niche interested in this kind of stuff , but yeah ,taking spanish in college isnt gonna cure my ignorance, feels derived, yeah indeed, but do i blame them??? not at all, something about those ways that spanish screams and sounds its so majestic and beatifull specially with that niche production, feels like something title fight would have done, but sometimes they sound so similar to them ,but some tunes are so fire that ... read more
S: this record as many others inspired the revival that happened in teh 2000s' but it is indeed a revolution , like every single little cliche, and thingy did came from here, and my god those freaking songs , are quite like no other ,sepcially see no evil ,prove it and of course marquee moon, that last one felt, amazing, love the hell out of this record, but, still the only reason to not give this thingy a S+ is that altough is perfect is too perfect to be true, just a little tiny ick ... read more
