Caparezza - Habemus Capa

A much more provocative and somewhat ambitious record compared to Verità Supposte with its varied thematics, some of which are brought back from the previous album, but at the expense of interesting and engaging sound. It fortunately gets better around the end, but the clever and comedic lyrics can hardly save this one from monotony, especially with Capa's weird ass, lovable goblin voice. Caparezza's first studio album, and it really shows. Rough under every aspect, especially musically. To anyone familiar with the artist and that speaks italian, it should come to no surprise that Iosonouncane's music is somewhat political... and deep down, this really is no exception.
English, french, german, arabic, spanish and italian make up the lyrics, representing the multifarious reality of our ... read more
