Fantastic first side. Livin on the fault line is especially steely Dan esque. Second side falters, but still a great record overall, with funky music and beautiful vocals from both Simmons and Michael McDonald.
This is a masterpiece I feel. Also is it crazy to say that Anita baker should be up there with Whitney, Celine Dion and Aretha Franklin when it comes to best female vocalist of all time?
THE most important reggae album of all time. It may not be as strong song wise as Kaya, but the amount of rammers on this album is insane. Plus the political message is incredibly strong, which is what makes it so important. This is essential reggae

This album is such a vibe and so relaxing. The production especially on the unremastered versions is really rustic. Plus, this was the true start of Bob Marley's career; certainly the start of his political writing. The standout on this album is concrete jungle, what a rammer. Just stick this album on on a summer's day and you'll be laughing

A very important queer album. Don't forget: Sylvester walked so that every other queer artist could run. And exist. Sylvester keeps talking about girl this girl that. Girl, we know your game. Another album with insanely good vocals
