The last album with Murray on it continues the trend of every album with the mascot on it being an absolute banger.
A bit of a controversial take here, but I actually think this album is better than holy diver. Now I'm not saying any song here is better than holy diver the song, but I just think it is overall stronger and has better tracks in general. Holy diver is still a masterpiece though.
As heaven and hell's little brother, it gets it's fair share of recognition, but definitely not enough.
There's a lot I can say about this one, but if I had to be brief, it's very underrated.
I'm a huge dio fan as is, but even I can say this is one of his finest works. Tony's guitar play here is as godly as always, and when coupled with Dio's godly vocals and his lyrical style, it makes for a truly haunting experience. There isn't a single miss in this album, not even the, imo, weakest track here, walk away, is anything short of amazing. Dio really hit hard with his first album with sabbath.
It's honestly a pretty great return to form for the band after the last few records. There's a few lacking songs, but even then they're still not bad. God is dead? is definitely the highlight. Rock on sabbath 🤘
