Scott Walkers Stream of Consciousness: Grapple the Self (Shared Humanity) Never A Means to an End;; A Joke, The Crown Jewel.
Confronting the absurdism of masculinity & death.?.
2.
Don’t Ask Me…Walker considered this the first and only perfect album in his discography and with every listen I understand why & begin to agree with him more and more. Walker utilizes verses and chorus’s simultaneously for all but one of these songs. An approachable & beyond alienating choice for those who have given Soused a listen…for one, it must be played loud & with good headphones…anything other than this experience will cause some of the most vivid textures to barely grasp their artistry.
3.
Boundless foray into the inability to hold onto a spiritual moment. The impetus of every late stage Scott Walker, drifting through the various abstractions of historical observation, dream logic & the I culmination of everything Scott Walker set out to capture….i will have more thoughts in the future.
