Incredible Deluxe tracks, and I genuinely really love this deluxe album. Imagine Dragons might not be great, but this album has a special place in my heart
A near perfect movie, The Godfather is incredible. However, movie aside, the soundtrack is amazing. It conveys so much emotion even without any film next to it, and the repeated themes and instruments throughout make it amazing. This is how movie scores should be.
At what point, is an album so bad that it's good?
This is the point. This album, on all accounts, is not that good. The beats are bland and sound like I could make them, he's quite literally just offbeat most of the time, the choruses stink, and the writing is absolutely terrible. But, there's a level of charm here that makes it work for some reason. I have no idea what that reason is, but this project beats the odds.

Really like the new songs (except How High, I don't see the vision and I just don't like it). Ice's evolving already as an artist so early into her career, and I'd love to see more. Genuinely, I think this is pretty good, if not great
I've never seen an album with perhaps a 100/100 and a 0/100 song on the same album. Right next to each other. NEZ is an incredible track, and Ménage is an incredibly bad track. Overall, this album can't decide whether it wants to be good or bad, boom bap or trap, introspective or bland, and by the looks of it, an EP or an LP (seriously how is this an EP it's 10 full songs). Anyways, it's still alright, but I feel like she could do better.
What can I say about this that hasn't been said? I don't know other than just I can't believe this exists. It's so bad, like it's bad bad. That bad.
Also sex songs aren't cringe but the way he raps in every song about his sexual endeavors makes me think he hasn't had sex in years.

A Coltrane album in 2023? I'll be damned, and it sounds completely new. Love the takes on Greensleeves and My Favorite Things, and Dolphy kills it on the flute. Is it dumb of me to critique the length of this album despite it being a live album which is going to be long inevitably? Maybe, but I do think this drags on a bit, especially on tracks 2 and 5. A solid EP, great 3 tracks. Certainly enjoyed the first and last one more than the middle however

It took me multiple listens to get this. I couldn't finish a single playthrough until today. This album is not an easy listen. At times, it's not the most fun album to listen to. But god damn, Ascension truly is wonderful. I wouldn't disagree with those calling it a masterpiece, for it is really amazing. The only problem is... actually I don't know if there is a problem! This is just my rating for this album, yknow how it be.
