people really thought she was finally releasing xcxworld but she's dropping sucker b-sides... her mind!
i mean, i really get what you're going for, but this type of music just doesn't work at all for me. it just sounds like a playlist that'd play on the background of an indie website back from the early 2010s or a powerpoint presentation that uses way too many transitions. at best it was intriguing, at worst it was headache inducing. maybe it's just my unfamiliarity with this genre speaking but it didn't work for me, sorry. :(

this is how you make a deluxe album god-fucking-damn it. there's a brand new song for pretty much every style that she tried on the standard edition and it brings them all to the 100%. dance 2 goes so hard and listening to what's good officially for the first time felt like a punch to the throat. i'll never not be excited about her dropping anything, and i mean ANYTHING.
the bible (10th anniversary edition) by god.
so, at last, my debut ep is out now everywhere for all of you to listen! if you're reading this, please, consider giving this a chance. i made this with so much love and i've spent countless days and nights trying to give this ep the rollout that it deserves. it's always been my biggest dream to have a project out for other people to listen to, since i tend to struggle to precisely explain how i really feel on the daily. well, this is it. you can listen to it on the following ... read more
idc what any pretentious music nerd says but 15yo me felt like the coolest teen ever listening to this album on loop. does it hold up nowadays? i'd very confidently say it does with some very few exceptions (new americana i'm looking directly at you) but it's still a very sleek alt-pop project full of cheesy metaphors and undisclosed emotions. on another note, i was a bit disappointed with the orchestral versions having the same vocals stems than the original tracks, it feels ... read more
my god. this album's themes go constantly straight for the throat. i found myself written in so many of these lyrics and i love how specific and articulate they are. when she's at her most self-loathing, she channels fiona apple levels of poetry, but that never gets in the way of making the catchier songs seem out of place. she's got such a precious talent and heart, and i'll always love her for what she does even if she wonders, and i quote her, "what in the living ... read more
if there's one word that could sum how this album feels to me, it'd definitely be uncomfortable. there's nothing fundamentally wrong with these eight songs but apart from nice try and the more acoustic tracks, i don't think i'll ever be coming back to this album unless i decide to stab myself in the guts, and not because it's bad, i just have the feeling that it's too bitter for its own good. the production sometimes feels muddy and her vocals ... read more
wow, this is certainly an album that exists! how do you go from a rapper that thrived off being fun and naughty while still having a certain attractive quirk to her persona to “spitting bars” (i feel like she was channeling her inner trisha paytas reading on x factor at times) through three hundred different guitar loops that somehow all manage to sound the same? yeah, this is unsalvageable imo. the production ranges from ok to stale (that interpolation in eve ate the apple made me ... read more
it's funny how she went from making the most radio ready album back in 2023 to this. there's so many different things going on in a matter of 5 songs, it's almost impressive. from the 90's madonna inspired title track to the stunning breakaway, there's no shortage of brilliance in here. however, tracks like hello kitty and in my head feel a bit reminiscent of the stuff that you could already hear in her debut, and imo they don't make much sense thematically or ... read more
i've been a huge fan of hers ever since i discovered her through grimes' the ac!d reign chronicles. i believe she's got one of the most beautiful and pleasant voices i've ever heard. she sounds perfectly fine through all kinds of genres and she's capable to pull very hard notes without much trouble. now, when i heard that she was coming back my hopes were through the roof, so once i knew that it was just a 3 track ep after waiting for so long, i was a tad underwhelmed, ... read more
sooo... is his *introduce random verse of the bible* era over or? you gotta love when white people use religion as a way of making themselves appear better than they actually are. bet he'll find jesus again once he gets back into rehab. anyways, fuck this zionist.
idc, this is fun and powerful as shit. there's a bunch of duds here and there that should've, probably, been left back in 2018 (lol) but this is still a very good album, i just need you all to stop sleeping on it. they could never make me hate you, kesha. <3
faves: freedom, joyride, red flag, boy crazy, glow and cathedral.
least fave: too hard.
i have the softest spot ever for her music. i've been a huge fan of hers ever since she dropped "my friends online". to this day, i still think that "u and me, but mostly me" is one of the best ep debuts ever and someone still gots to change my mind about that. ever since, i've been following all of her releases very closely and, even if this mini-album isn't really hitting me as much as any of her previous projects, it does a pretty successful job at ... read more
fuck it. i was debating whether i should give this a 100 and, for some fucking reason, i didn't want to. but now that i've heard the album multiple times under different scenarios and after paying attention to the lyrics, i can't find a single thing to criticize. and, honestly, that's my whole metric when it comes to rating an album. if there's stuff that i would've liked to be different, i lower the score accordingly, but there wasn't a single moment in this ... read more
ok so, i might be a bit clueless here but i don't get why so many people are saying that they lost it. when "women in music, pt. iii" came out, i remember disliking the album quite a bit and it remained that way up until i played it one day that i was feeling quite frustrated with life and i happened to cry throughout the whole entire album. ever since then, that album has become one of my favorites ever. so now i feel a bit confused reading how inconsistent and mismatched it is. ... read more
so... i actually have a little bit of a story related to miss addison. i was the guy that uploaded a fanmade album with all of her leaked songs to youtube and i called it "ar1". it got lots of views before it got blocked by her team days before she announce "ar", then the video being taken down suddenly appeared on pop crave and, in a matter of days, it got unblocked once again, so you could say that i've been rooting for her for quite a while. but yeah, this is ... read more
cute ep that starts and ends really strong but that gets a little bit lost in all the production choices that happen throughout the whole entire project. it feels ambitious but the ambition sometimes takes away some of the enjoyment that i initially expected to have with certain tracks. as a final suggestion, you should try to write more stuff in spanish bc, personally, it felt way more engaging, raw and personal than anything else in the project (not to dismiss the thought you must've put ... read more
this is the spanish equivalent to charli xcx's brat. however, while charli was performing at raves being a minor, rakky was probably making nightcore versions of vocaloid songs. i love how raw and comfortable she appears to be with her unapologeticaly blunt lyrics, it almost feels like i'm listening to her recite her diary. raquel, eres perfecta. <3
faves: las cosas de antes, i would say, creadora, angelicaldiabolical, despertar contigo, breve and canela.
least fave: legacy.
i love how committed she is to her robotic persona even if that means we're getting the same themes with similar instrumentals in most of her songs. i'll say, however, that this ep left me a bit underwhelmed. i was hoping for something as daring as mothe or as hard hitting as redux but, instead, it just lingered in between the two of them without really making any meaningful decisions looking forward into her career imo.
