It really doesn't get any better than this.
Judging this by the merits of a soundtrack, I can't imagine that any other hypothetical soundtrack could've done the existential dread of Serial Experiments Lain justice as well as this does, matching the dark, subdued tone in amazingly. I haven't heard anything emanate such an intense aura of "objective masterpiece" since I first listened to Soundtracks for the Blind. Wow. Written form seriously cannot do this justice. I can only describe the listening experience as the auditory equivalent to the astral projection one ensues upon death as they ascend unto the gates of heaven. I can't think of a single plausible reason as to why you shouldn't listen to this.
