To be completely honest, I am not a huge country fan, and have listened to almost no Miranda Lambert before. The song Music City Queen is absolutely cringe-worthy.
That said, I am surprised by how much I enjoy some of the album and it may be opening me up to more mainstream country. We will see.
Yes, Yes, Yes. Everything about this, but especially the collaboration with Q-Tip reinforce the absolute unit that is Jack White. Incredible his ability to push the edges of music this deep into his career.
AOTY contention
Well produce, well performed, a return to form. Not AOTY contention but likely top 5 rap/hip hop album. I'll be returning to this album periodically over the next few months to see how it ages.
Not THAT good. A bit depressing and over dramatic. A single theme that fails to really dig deeper.
