joji is the type of guy who has three templates of songs and scatter different iterations of them throughout his work, and when they work they work very well. the result of that is overall very mixed in this one, but it's far better than smithereens while still suffering from the same problems nectar does. some amazing standalones, as an album it's alright.

não sou fã de metal, mas quando penso em metal, penso exatamente nisso aqui. faixas como battery, welcome home e leper messiah me fizeram apreciar mais o gênero.

se beneficiaria muito de uma reorganização na ordem das faixas. super bagunçado a partir da sexta música e infelizmente todos os destaques estão concentrados na primeira metade do disco.

Um ótimo disco. Aqui, a escrita do Kendrick está muito mais direta e crua se comparada ao seu álbum anterior, To Pimp a Butterfly. Diferente do TPAB, que tinha seu foco em fazer comentários sociais e as vivências de Lamar enquanto homem preto, o DAMN segue temas similares, mas de uma forma infinitamente mais pessoal: o foco é a humanidade e moral.
