Very impressive!
While at times a bit too conventional, this album really has moments worthy of mainstream attention, especially for a debut album.
The closing track is insanely good, and it’s sweet that Shane Hawkins is playing drums on it too :)
easily my favourite song of all time, and has been for years now
“keeping my hopes up cause the adults are talking was their last single for the new abnormal”
Overall a pretty solid project with a well balanced runtime and sequencing, but it feels like basement are looking for their sonic identity again. As hinted by the single The Way I Feel, some tracks aren’t consistently produced to serve their purpose further, and the vocals are, at times, mixed in a way that feels accidentally unfinished rather than intentionally unpolished. Deadweight is a surprisingly great track, it makes you wonder they chose The Way I Feel as a single instead
With the widespread mainstream attention malcolm has gotten over the past year and half, it's easier to foresee a sonically "poppier" realm to his upcoming album, in order to maintain said listeners. This single exemplifies this case the best so far. This ambition is also most likely noticeable through the choice of producers, especially Matthew Castellanos, who partly composed Bad Habit for Steve Lacy, an influence that is more than ever definite here (malcolm is never beating ... read more

The closest i'll ever get to understand the Québécois accent
It's rather unusual witnessing a band so unconventional in every fathomable way manage become a worlwide sensation for longer than a few days. Currently, Angine de Poitrine sit at a nice 1M monthly listeners on Spotify for the release of their sophomore album, with a fully booked tour (even in my city, which is absolute balls). What some claimed to be gimmicky turned regardless to become their signature sound ... read more
holy shit
edit: nevermind i shouldn't have paid attention to the lyrics
this had so much potential if only they didn’t forget to play a chorus maan
as a unique track it stands its ground quite well, however put in perspective with the rest of his discography it loses value in its resemblance to other tracks (blue specifically). the vocal layering is also very good here
polska gurom 🔥🇵🇱
Myslovitz are definitely a band to check out even for the non poles, simply for what they deliver sonically. A lot of their tracks remind me of Manic Street Preachers during their Everything Must Go Era. I highly disagree with the people stating Myslovitz sounds like Radiohead because whilst some very mildly convincing arguments can be made in that favour, Manic Street Preachers are simply so much closer to being an entry door for understanding their overall sound. ... read more
enjoyable, but way too short and conventional (for what mclusky are) to be worthy of that much more attention. The song could’ve done with a different section as it sounds rather lacklustre without one, again, even by mclusky standards.
Such a cool concept to make a music video for the song so long after it was recorded, I also love the use of old clips in the background, I feel like that gives place for a lot of metaphors I'm too dumb to understand
Sophie Thatcher is the only Thatcher we love 🔥🔥
+5 points for having that pic of Brian
Otherwise too simple to be that much more noteworthy
