Doja Cat - Vie
60

I honestly did not expect to like this album as much as I did, considering I felt like Scarlet fell quite flat, for me. With that behind her, I think Doja Cat showed signs of creativity and uniqueness on Vie. I was pleasantly surprised at some of her tracks that showcased her ability to switch up her flows and adapt her vocals to match the vibes of each different beat. I was impressed at her making an older pop-ish sound feel modern in her own way, although I would have rather her just rapped ... read more

Three Days Grace - Alienation
70

The return of Adam Gontier to Three Days Grace provided an interesting wrinkle in Alienation, with he and Matt Walst sharing vocal duties. I think it ultimately worked out in the groups' favor, as they ended up putting together TDG's best project in over a decade. I see people knocking the band for their cheesy and basic lyrical work, which is fine, I guess, but they've always been that way. Even One-X, my favorite album of theirs, is littered with lame lyrics if you really ... read more

The Hives - The Hives Forever Forever The Hives
70

Another quality album from The Hives, hitting all the highs we've known them for over the years while displaying tons of maturity as a group.

Underoath - The Place After This One
50

A bit all over the place and chaotic, but it does occasionally come together for some solid parts.

mgk - lost americana
30

Typical MGK album... not good.

Cardi B - AM I THE DRAMA?
25

It's kind of crazy to me that this is only Cardi B's second album. It stinks, unfortunately, but I was just surprised it took seven years to get another album.

I Prevail - Violent Nature
60

Violent Nature has a few hits, but not enough for me to think anything crazy highly of I Prevail's newest album.

blessthefall - Gallows
40

Gallows is giving pretty heavy basic metalcore vibes, I unfortunately can't really say I am a fan.

Magnolia Park - VAMP
55

A little hit or miss at times, but Magnolia Park's VAMP is a decent album with a couple hits sprinkled in.

STARSET - SILOS
70

Another really fun album from STARSET, continuing to kill it in the alt metal bubble.

Skrillex - Bangarang
60

Middle school me was so in on this

Skrillex - F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3
70

OKAY Skrillex my bad for sleeping. I thought this was going to be washed Skrillex so I put off listening to it forever. That's on me. This is really solid.

Offset - KIARI
65

Offset left me with a good bit to like on KIARA, but also dropped a few lows in this album that do bring its overall quality down. While the production is quite good, I felt like the album dragged a bit towards the middle and even really up until Prada Myself, where I think we do enter a really solid ending run. Offset's flows and lyrics are fun and overall enjoyable despite a feeling of repetitiveness as the album went on. Still, though, there's a few tracks I'm going to be ... read more

21 Savage, Offset & Metro Boomin - Without Warning

ric flair drip an all timer

Big Thief - Double Infinity
75

Yet another strong addition to Big Thief's discography.

Big Thief - Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You
80

I don't remember not reviewing this

Sub Urban - If Nevermore
60

If Nevermore is a really creative effort from Sub Urban, I just felt a whole lot of nothing from this album vocally. I get the production is the driving factor of what makes this album work, I just don't like the vocals much at all and it detracts quite a bit from my experience.

"I can def agree with that! Pray for Paris specifically is such a great album, has quite a few of my favorite songs of his. Like I think 327, Versace and Shawn vs. Flair would all be in my top 5 WSG songs"
On Sleep Token - Even in Arcadia
"@SleepToken30 They do metal things even in this album. If you don't know what you're listening to to identify characteristics of a genre I can completely understand that and have no issue with ignorance, but blatantly lying about them not being a metal band is crazy. Every radio station, music publication, magazine, website, etc all label them as metal or a subgenre of it. Every band incorporates different nuances and sounds that they pluck from other genres, that's the standard. It doesn't make Sleep Token unique that they are "diverse" in their sound. You can be diverse sonically and still not know how to blend your sounds together. You might not be able to be objective talking about Sleep Token and that's fine, but I can and this stunk."
On Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA
"@yesmk tons of people think his style sucks. I am not one of those people, but every time he releases something new there’s always significantly more arguments about his music than a lot of his contemporaries."

"because ill give everything a chance and i try to listen to as much music as possible to keep myself open. you're allowed to listen to things that you don't like and criticize it with reasons as to why you dont like it, just so you know @klctht"
