Solid Air

Heard this album years ago on the knowledge that the title track was about my favourite artist of all time, Nick Drake, and I was hooked from there. For only being 35 minutes this album packs so much variety, beauty and emotion. I'd Rather Be The Devil has some really cool ambient passages, Over The Hill is pure british folk beauty, and Go Down Easy almost made me spend an unholy amount of money on a fretless bass despite the fact that I'm not even that good on bass. That and other tracks on this album make this so much more than just the title track being about Nick Drake.
