This album takes all the amazing guitar playing from Meat Puppets II and ramps up the technicality. Ridding themselves of many of their previous punk attributes, sonically this record sounds more like an outsider amalgamation of Jerry Garcia, 60s psychedelia, bluegrass-like picking, and older classic indie rock. this album is insane, everything i could possibly want from a sludge/doom metal record. thou has been one of my fav bands for a minute and i honestly think this is their best, might be metal album of the decade.
