One of the most memorable records ever made, OK Computer is an absolute masterpiece and a timeless classic. Nothing has changed really with the group's sound since the last record, they are just somehow even better at it now than they were before, leading to one of the best rock records you'll ever hear regardless of genre. There are a lot of simplistic choices throughout the instrumentals and lyrics, but they are done so creatively and artistically that they carry so much more meaning than just the words and notes themselves. After a solid start with Airbag, we get into the first of many great songs off of this record with Paranoid Android, a song about the paranoia that follows the singer throughout their everyday life. After a decent song with Subterranean Homesick Alien, we get another great song with Exit Music, a song that characterizes all of the emotions that could be felt at the end of a story. We get another great song right after this with Let Down, a song about the let down of sentimentality. After a decent song and an interlude, we get another great song with Electioneering, a song about political unrest and the effects that it has on society. We get another great song right after with Climbing Up the Walls, a song about paranoia and how it holds people down. We get another great song with No Surprises, a song about how isolation wears people down and how no one is suited for it. Continuing the stretch of great songs in a row, we have Lucky, a song about the need for support when things go wrong in a relationship. Finally, we have the last great song of this record with The Tourist, a song about the need of not rushing through life and enjoying every day. Overall, this is an incredible record, even though I likely fail to understand several lyrical aspects of this project, as it takes multiple listens to truly appreciate the beauty of what Thom Yorke and Co. have created here. All in all, this project is an absolute masterpiece and a must listen for all fans of music.
