Tyler, The Creator - CHROMAKOPIA

Absolute masterpiece. My favorite Tyler album yet. This shit mad fire.

This record just has so much going for it, but the first and most forefront thing I notice about this record is that it feels deeply personal to Tyler himself. Not to say that he hasn't done concept albums before, but Igor and Wolf were more about stories not necessarily about Tyler himself, whereas on Chromakopia, this record is specifically about Tyler himself and his life. Right off the bat with St. Chroma, the ... read more

REDUX REVIEW: Original Score: 43

Wow I really missed the mark on the first listen lmao. As far as what I didn't like this time around, I felt like Zone Out, Dance, and Last Real [N-word] Alive were kind of lackluster in comparison to the rest of the LP. I felt that these were some moments where the record kind of dragged, especially with Zone Out. Now onto my repentance for my previous score.

Yeah there is a lot more than just fucking Thugz Mansion (N.Y.) on this LP. Book of Rhymes ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - CALL ME IF YOU GET LOST

Coming in with a major switch up from his last LP, Tyler continues to bring the same quality to his albums, delivering another fantastic record here. The only song that I personally wasn't feeling was Juggernaut. Other than that, this record is really fucking good.

There aren't many people that are as multifaceted as one Tyler, the Creator, as on his quest to prove that he can do literally whatever the fuck he wants to, he brings us a hardcore, West-Coast Hip Hop record. While ... read more

Tyler, The Creator - IGOR

A fantastic record here from Tyler, the Creator, absolutely worth the praise that it gets. The only song that I personally wasn't feeling was What's Good. Other than that, I have very little problems with this record.

There is just so many unique things going on with this record. First off, the lush production on songs like Earfquake and Are We Still Friends make for some incredible pop ballad bangers, but what I really love is the contrast between this style and the jarring and ... read more

Geese - Getting Killed

Absolutely fantastic. The only song I didn't love was Bow Down just to get that out of the way. Other than that, I enjoyed every bit of this record.

Cameron Winter's vocals on this project are fucking insane, like it takes a lot of talent to pull off these songs in such a spectacular way with these kind of (for lack of better description) whinier vocal styles that he puts on. The dude just oozes talent throughout this project, making for a big reason for the success of this ... read more
