I honestly don’t get why Rockstar sits at such a low average here. A lot of that feels less about the song itself and more about the long standing hate Nickelback gets as a band. Taken on its own terms, this track isn’t trying to be deep or serious, it’s clearly poking fun at the exaggerated rockstar lifestyle. And I’m not sure everyone actually engages with it on that level.
