An artist I've been following for some time now. This mixtape packs in elements of grime and dancehall, before justifying his nonchalant attitude to everything at the end.

Wholly lives up to its title.

It's not exactly anything new or groundbreaking, is it? More or less just a continuation of the first LP.

In retaliation to the (hopefully temporary) closure of Fabric, Paul Rose delivers his addition to the mix series. And it bangs. Indeed.

When '22' emerged, the track seemingly divided the fan base. Some believed this new approach to be pretentious. However, the vast majority were intrigued by this new-found experimentation (myself joining the latter). The album and its audience's speculations seem to draw parallels between this and 'Kid A'. Discarding a more conventional approach, yet still remaining soulful and true in their lyrics, Vernon and company have crafted a contender for the album of the year.

It's satisfying when a highly anticipated album from two rising stars in hip hop and soul doesn't let the listener down.

The most recent offering from Hessle Audio sees Pangaea make several nods to the past (his dubstep roots), as well as injecting new ideas from a more techno-based perspective.

It's an interesting and refreshing approach to a genre usually associated with the main stage. To tone down production and percussion, instead of upping the ante, surprisingly pays off here.
