Some really good moments on this but the lighter parts kind of mess with the momentum coming from the heavier tracks.
Interesting instrumental ideas bogged down by uninspired vocals and boring lyrics.
This album is therapeutic depending on who you are, I came away with self reflection I've never had from music, and I just happened to stumble on it by chance. We can all relate to the feelings of wanting to be different, I struggled with it for years and felt like I was at the very end of my life because I couldn't accept my existence.
Jordaan Mason captured lightning that felt like it came from the same cloud as OK Computer and how it's not widely celebrated is beyond me.
10/10.
Very by the books, instrumentally its fine but lyrically it made me physically cringe many times. Like a teenager wrote these lyrics thinking they were deep and edgy but it was actually a grown ass man.
Not the best work of Freddie Gibbs or Madlib. Pinata felt raw, this feels cheap. It's not bad looking at it for what it is, but compared to the previous collaboration it falls short.
Great album. Probably going to be overlooked because the sound isn't popular but for fans of this sound it will be a great listen.
The problem with this album is there are too many features. Young Thug by himself is great but the other rappers hurt the album.
