I mean, it's not much better than Debut on average. It's a little less grounded and goofy like Debut was, instead leaning towards more of the Bjork sound of Homogenic that ends up as more electronic, and it works in her favor. However, the standouts here are simply some of Bjork's discography highlights. Isobel is an absolute trip within a song and makes you feel absolutely out of this world, and It's Oh So Quiet is just gaudy and goofy enough to feel like a song from a play without the bad parts.
However, the standout here is almost surely Hyper-Ballad, a track about throwing away parts of you early in the morning to feel more comfortable in a relationship. The way she talks about it and ends the song off with such grandiose before the instrumental part genuinely made me obsessed. That track is a standout and a highlight of Bjork's discography, and it honestly may just be one of the greatest songs of the 2000s if not all time. A very recommended listen even if you don't want to listen to Post. The Robyn cover is almost amazing.
Overall, while it does tend to stumble around in one spot (The Modern Things), it's a great experience and very important stone in Bjork's discography, showing the path that she'd end up going towards.
