The Beach House project of all time. It's always great to get more Beach House, but there's not a lot of meat to sink your teeth into, especially on tracks like American Daughter. Overall, some OTM leftovers still taste good, but they're lacking the flavor that made OTM and Beach House at large so great.
Favorite Track: Black Magic
Other Great Tracks: Devil's Pool, Become
Least Favorite Track: American Daughter
The album that got me into my favorite band of all time. Beach House adventures into a wide array of different sounds and broadened their horizons past their Teen Dream/Bloom-era sound that they might've gotten stuck into on TYLS. The new greater sense of experimentation feels like a reinvention of the band's musical sound while not straying too far from the core sound that makes Beach House, Beach House.

Kelela's sophomore album transports you to another world for a solid hour, with a sweet mix between ambient pop and breakbeat dance anthems. Whike the album is nearly flaw-free, some of the tracks just run a bit thin or don't push the envelope enough for me to give it anything higher. All being said, this is one of the finest alt-RnB albums in a long time and I'm glad Kelela is back for more.

This album is the zenith of dream pop. Truly genre-defining and mind-meltingly ethereal.
Beach House's latest album is a grand, 4-part statement that they aren't content to rest on their laurels as the masters of dream pop and continue to experiment as they did on 7. Even as their eighth, this album has some of their highest highs in tracks like Superstar and New Romance, but lacks consistency towards the end which can be expected for an 18-track project. Overall, it's a very solid addition to a legendary catalog that will hopefully continue to grow.

Yaeji's debut LP for XL has a lot of innovation and futuristic sounds on it as usual, but it also suffers from a lot of inconsistencies. On the whole, however, it's a very enjoyable set of tracks to get lost in with the ethereal atmosphere and mixed-language vocals.
Favorite tracks: WHAT WE DREW, IN PLACE, WHEN I GROW UP, MONEY CAN'T BUY, WAKING UP DOWN, IN THE MIRROR, THE TH1NG

One of the most cohesive and tight introspective rap albums ever, and combined with Denzel's flair it's near unbeatable.
