"I reserve it like I'm Aboriginal" bro are we serious?
There are some good tracks on here, but this is too lengthy for songs like "Make Them Know" to make any impact. I was so bored by the time I got to track 14, that every song that would've been good was bad or okay to me due to this album's repetitiveness and length.
Even if "Deadbeat" cannot outcompete its predecessors, that was never the point. Going into an album with the sole focus of comparison, especially when the genres are so different, can be fatal to enjoyment. I must admit, I didn't like this album at first listen. But, after a second listen, I changed my mind.

underscores' ep "skin purifying treatment" is a battle of logic and emotion. the "big decision", which seems to be another central theme of the EP, is implied to be her gender identity/coming out. i actually like the skits (1, 5, last part of 7) because they enforce these themes. if you didn't notice btw the logic tracks are 1-4 and emotion tracks are 5-8
denzel curry's "32 Zel" has some iconic moments, but certain segments feel like filler or are uninteresting.

overall a soul-crushing 10-minute masterpiece detailing Earl's experiences with depression

although the project was okay, i resonate with the fact that someone could have so many interesting and new ideas but kinda screw up with execution.

Danny Brown's "Atrocity Exhibition" sees us immersed in a side of him that is no longer at that party but deeply thinking about his drug addiction.
Danny Brown's "XXX" is a phenomenal experimental rap album that dives into themes of vices and the meaning of popularity in rap.
Stop #1 of getting back into Kanye/Ye, backwards... because I am NOT trying to listen to this last. TCD will be a great finish btw.
