Really loved this, casually crashed so hard I broke 4 bones and even more fractures! My life will never be the same and I can no longer do what I love

Bladee & Mechatok - Good Luck

Instead of being an interesting and creative evolution of his sound, Bladee opts to put 0 effort into this project that somehow manages to get boring in it's 20 minute runtime. I feel like Bladee's lackluster vocals wouldn't be as apparent on this project if it had solid production but Mechatok's beats sound plain and stock, completely abandoning the experimentation on past Bladee projects. He actually does something interesting on Intro and Rainbow but after that I didn't like a single beat on ... read more

The Scary Jokes - Burn Pygmalion!!! A Better Guide to Romance

I really wish I could give this a better review, a few years ago I had listened to this record and it kinda changed the course of my life but revisiting it now I find most of the second half completely forgettable. I love the story it's trying to tell but it eventually becomes so sonically uninteresting that you'll be left waiting for this queer love story to come to it's obvious conclusion. My favorite tracks were probably Community Gardens, Sylvia Is A Dying Fad, and Pygmalion.

Bladee - EXETER

Very interesting evolution of Bladee's sound, this whole album is definitely trying to catch a vibe and i feel it succeeds at that. With a such a short runtime I was worried this wouldn't come across as a cohesive project but I feel it's one of Bladee's most consistent attempts at keeping a singular aura.

It's lyrically simple but it feels somewhat intentional, sticking to lot's of general concepts and vague metaphors that help build up this general "vibe" he's going for. There's a ... read more

brakence - hypochondriac

Really loved this album, I agree with some of the lyrical complaints but I think I've quickly fallen in love with it sonically and it's lyrics have started to grow on me but that might just be cope. (Edit: The lyrics have actually been getting worse to me overtime, still love it sonically and I still lyrically enjoy a couple tracks)
