Bon Iver - SABLE, fABLE

This shit makes me feel things

Playboi Carti - MUSIC
77

I loved this but it kind of quickly fell out of rotation, it's still great with no skips, but it's not got as much replayability as others

Djo - The Crux
87

not what I was expecting, especially from the single delete ya, but I really enjoyed this, I don't think it's my fav album by them purely because I have a soft spot for DECIDE, but it's still a great little well rounded project.

2hollis - star

I fw this heavily, listened on a run today and it kept me going fr, contender for one of my fav albums this year

The Weeknd - Hurry Up Tomorrow
88

I sat down with this album three times to give it a proper rating, and took the individual track ratings (Avg. 92) and then the "vibe" rating (85), which has landed me at a generous little rating of 88. And while I think that's fair, I also think it will change over time.

This album, like every album from the weeknd that comes along, has some perfect 10/10 songs, but it has a few that fall flat, and I have a problem with how it all ties together (or doesn't I mean)

Benjamin Booker - LOWER

I think for what it is trying to do, it does it well, but I don't like it, which is just my personal taste. The production is interesting and sometimes the vocals, but often times the sound is just a bit too niche for me.

Mogwai - The Bad Fire
73

I think the user score is accurate, nothing bad here but nothing groundbreaking,, I REALLY liked Fanzine Made Of Flesh, would've appreciated more of that autotune vocoder sound on some other tracks but I respect it nonetheless

Central Cee - CAN'T RUSH GREATNESS
37

How many times do we have to use the same flow on the same beats until it gets old? well apparently Central Cee has found the answer. There is nothing new or interesting here, and it's just tiring to trudge through this.... Some fine bars, but some really roll your eye moments too. Saving grace is the Dave verse

Rio Da Yung OG - RIO FREE
67

I thought I rated this already but it didn't go through, I really wish he used more of the interesting production from the opening track, but I think it's solid, also usually don't love Detroit style rapping but I think this was pretty enjoyable

BØRNS - Honeybee
33

This sound is just so obnoxious, it's like music that Vaughn from community makes while playing with his Hackey Sack

Ringo Starr - Look Up
35

I'm sure loads of Grandparents out there would love how boring this is

FKA twigs - EUSEXUA
95

Holy bagoley this is unbelievable. Production also kept me interested and there’s some BEAUTIFUL vocals. I drove through GTA at night time while striptease came on and I think that’s what Eusexua is fr fr

Fousey - G7: The Death of Fousey
5

Fousey talks for 30 seconds, “raps” for 10 seconds and then talks for another 30 seconds and calls it a song…. Every song is a copy cat of another artist and it’s a pathetic attempt at an album. I knew he was beyond delusional but this is a different level. I also can’t believe someone would let him ruin some okay beats (they’re basic but they’re acc okay, like let the choir sing beat is nice and that’s one of the worst songs on the ... read more

David Gray - Dear Life
84

I still don’t know why but I really really like this…? Sure some of the production is clunky and there’s some songs I don’t love, but there’s some amazing moments and really interesting melodies. I also think leave taking and I saw love is my fav two track run from the year so far.

Dear Seattle - TOY
40

Voice is way too clean for it to come off well on this style of music.... it comes off as cringe, especially with some of the HORRID lyrics ("Driving away like courtney love" in a youthful australian accent is not very pop punk) It's just a bit gross like, and that's coming from someone who generally enjoys this style of music ..

There are like two songs that are really good on this, in particular the closing track, but if you're coming here for pop punk, you'd be ... read more

Ela Minus - DÍA
66

I'm disappointed in this, and not because it's bad, but because it's so oddly inconsistent? There are some really cool sounds here, but sometimes it's 10% too cooky and it throws off the whole vibe. I think overall it's fine but if this was a bit more put together it would be unbelievable

Victoria Canal - Slowly, It Dawns
83

It sometimes wears it's influences a bit heavily on it's sleeve, but that doesn't take away from it's beauty. Gorgeous project, with some lush production and even prettier song writing. I love this soft style and while it's not a presentation of it at it's best, it's a solid attempt.

The Weather Station - Humanhood
75

Lots of beautiful moments on this, I see some people saying the back half falls flat but I actually preferred the last few songs. It's a bit like that Bill Ryder-Jones Album from 2024, where I won't listen a lot but I appreciate it's presence

Rose Gray - Louder, Please
65

It's fine, but it just feels super uninspired, it's as if I've heard this music done by a lot of other people a lot better elsewhere? Some great moments, especially towards the back end of the album ( I'm looking at you Hackney Wick and First) but sometimes just falls flat for me. Then again, I don't think I'm the target audience here...
