While Chromakopia stayed serious most of the way through, with heavier topics, Don't Tap The Glass is exactly what those disappointed with Chromakopia needed, and what all Tyler fans wanted. This is wildly fun, great beats and vocal performances. One of the best rap albums of the year, just behind LGSEO.
I'm using this to review all of sznz as a whole, not just winter. Sznz starts on an extreme high note, with both I want a dog and Iambic pentameter. I genuinely LOVE both of these songs, I Want A Dog is a top 10 weezer song for me. In general, Autumn, Summer, and Winter are all very enjoyable, fun projects that I had a great time with. This album is on a constant quest to top itself for "worst song on the album". Worst part, arguably, is that it starts REALLY good. Personally, everything up to Flex Up is at least an 8/10. Island Holiday, however... is a complete mess, even if somewhat enjoyable because of how funny it is. If I played guitar, however, is genuinely just bad. I'm sorry, but if you can listen to this album and not have a good time, I don't trust you. This is one of the most accessible dumb fun albums ever created. Weezer forever.
Possibly my favorite album of all time. I felt so many emotions, and from just instrumentals and weird found footage esc sounds. This is a genuine masterclass on how music is art. An absolute must listen for anyone.
