A very competent and very fun melodeath album.

While it's got a thick new coat of paint in the form of glossy modern production, at it's core, To Conquer Eternal Damnation is an almost by the numbers Gothenburg sound worship with chuggy At The Gates-esque riffs and lush In Flames-y leads aplenty. I do not consider this to be an issue however, as the Darkness Everywhere boys retread this particular path rather tastefully and clearly with a lot of love for the genre.
