this chorus is so fucking funny i near pissed myself in vc listening to this
as of writing this i have listened to and rated 1,546 releases, the longest project being 9 and a half hours with 199 tracks and this is still the worst thing i've ever heard
i wanna be in the alternate universe where this album became a cult classic and paula toledo became a household indie darling
the 2nd track is unironically great and the choir of children children slowly progressing through the holidays is fucking hilarious, truly scratches that early ween itch.
on the other hand the first track is boring ass hold music
the verve: i consent
the rolling stones: i consent
allen klein: i don't!
isn't there someone you forgot to ask?
gypsy is an absolutely beautiful and amazing track and stands tall with the rest of fleetwood mac's masterpieces like dreams and the chain.
however outside of the closer being pretty decent and getting jumpscared by the chuck person sample on only over you, the rest is a bit of a nothing burger
i'm never usually one to put down an entire genre but historically jazz has been one that's rarely clicked with me whenever i listen to the acclaimed albums from it, i've always just thought the works it went on to influence, such as kid a or laughing stock, usually came out more interesting than whatever they were doing.
that being said if there was any jazz album to give to someone as a gateway pill, it's probably this one considering i loved it and will likely be checking out more
imagine making someone listen to it's my life and the party's over back to back and then showing them wealth
even for rwj's standards, the fact that this was released still baffles me
this song is proof that no amount of cool production can save you if you're just really shit
in a way i can't explain listening to anything else after this album feels like listening to commercial music
i will say while this record isn't super amazing or anything, it's miles better than i expected it to be based off of kisses (the only single i bothered to listen to)
listening to ahfod is one of the most nothing experiences ever until this track, then it's amazing for 4 minutes
this is actually pretty enjoyable but maybe fuck off from my spotify
this is way better than it should be for straight up just being ringtone pop
