Was kinda put off at first by the creepy album art, But one listen and I was hooked. I came in thinking it was going to be so experimental that the music would just go over my head but this album has many enjoyable melodies and is more soft-spoken than I thought it would be. Certain songs like Girl Feels Good have that early 2000s-sounding drum that makes it feel very nostalgic. The album has similarities to Grimes- Art Angels and La Roux - la Roux.
They kind of remind me of oasis, maybe a modern day version (also maybe just because they are british). When I first heard starburster on the radio, I was not a fan, but it has grown on me.
Love me some synth. fun listen. Took me a couple listens to get into it
Lots of interesting sounds and beats, great dancing music, but can feel bland at times.
I know people are upset its not the classic emo MCR we are use to but even years later this still hits hard. LP has a good mix of great bangers like NANANA and Vampire money + some more thoughtful sounding songs like SING and Bullet proof heart.
