Wake Me Up kinda pumped me up. I always like when The Weeknd sounds like MJ in his prime with the funky, groovey music. But it was kind of a fluke since the rest of the album barely had any tunes like that. Still I liked it and it was more so like what I expected from him. Sao Paulo might be the worst song on the album, no vibes, almost sounds like a distrubing noise to me. Sorry. In overrall, it was a solid project. Not much bad songs or anything but I doubt this one has some of the timeless ... read more
We don't here songs like New York Mining Disaster 1941 anymore. Simple, but haunting and grasping. From the beginning Bee Gees were showing the signs of excellence and greatness. To Love Somebody is such a timeless jam.
Dr. Dre... What an amazing production. I'm loving this front to back. It's nice that they put Thank You there at the last minute because it may be my fav song. Dre's production elevated Snoop's game to another level, the guy was always a great rapper, sounded amazing on the mic but some of the deliveries and melodies he did on this are very fresh, authentic and sounded amazing. This one is right there alongside Em's Death of Slim Shady to me as the best rap album this ... read more
7 sene oldu malum...

It starts off strong. Wacced out murals is really dope, i loved the spanish touches all over the album, one of the highlights of the album. luther is one of my favs, perfect kenny song. reincarnated is a pretty great idea. I think it can provide much more with several listens. Heart 6 is another stand out track. But for a 12 track relatively short album, there too many fillers on that one for Kendrick's standards. hey now, tv off, dodger blue, peekaboo are the songs I could have done ... read more
Another great album as a whole but I'm not sure if anything really made me go "wow" and stood out among them...
Modernizing old french classic songs into electronic music is apparently a great idea. I love the sound of this album. La Rua Madureira is one of my fav songs of the year ( I know it's a 5 year old album but I just listened to it and discovered the song this year).
Beautiful album. I love their funky tunes over nice disco drums and beats. My french is not good but whatever they are saying on most songs sound beautiful and vibey too. Feels like they can't drop a weak album even if they tried to. Loved it.
There are some interesting beats and production. Some Alchemist beats are so good. I liked Maradona song a lot. I wish he had Eminem on a song or 2 for his albums tho.
Beautiful music. Even though some songs captured the magic of previous works by them, I guess some of them were a bit flat in a way. At least it felt like that to me. Maybe I wasn't in that state of mind.
It's really a good pop album. I thought they don't do 'em like this anymore. Pretty good theme of production and sound overall. Songs are good, some of the vocal choices I don't really feel but still a good work all around.
There is a thin line in between being a genius and just a lunatic. I guess Kanye switches from one to another from time to time but this was probably the peak of his genius. Amazing and haunting production, pretty good rapping with amazing features. The whole vibe and concept of the album is one of the most authentic ever in hip hop and def inspiring.
It's what TES is to Em's discography to Kendrick's. The best sounding, most sonically pleasing album and also as good writing, content as Kenny's best albums. Prob my fav by him. Replay value is at its highest...
Bonus Tracks are really made the project better. Specially Beautiful Pain and Gorundhog Day are masterpieces.
I think I rated the MMLP 2 without the bonus tracks lower than 80. Bonus tracks are definitely makes the album better for me. Specially Beautiful Pain and Groundhog Day are like better than most of the original album tracks.
