Albums I need to listen to to finish the AOTY top 100 - #6
I wanted to like this so bad but I feel like I’m missing a lot here. I genuinely don’t think I listened to the right version bc this doesn’t really even resemble a song at all. The closest it got was a short, maybe 30 second verse at the beginning that was really just ok. The instrumentals just felt soulless and like they were just there because earl wanted to tell his story through a “song”. It does have some pretty decent lyrics that describe depression decently well but those lyrics mean nothing to me if they are all that’s there. I am incredibly let down by this I was hoping for so much more than what I got.
