April Album Swap #1

Okay so this is the only album Jayden gave me that I’ve actually heard before but it’s been so long since I listened that it might as well be new to me. Honestly from what I remember of my opinions on my first listen not much has changed for me. It’s not the mists consistent album but the highs are really high and the riffs are really good. I definitely prefer when the album leans into the more brutal and intense side of metal to the softer side which the album unfortunately focuses on a lot. It’s still really great but the album shines when it’s more loud and in your face at least for me. Honestly this isn’t really the kind of metal project that I’d return to too often which is probably the main reason I haven’t listened to it in so long. While it is very good nothing really sticks out to me. I do know that the lyrics are supposed to be super good here tho and I was feeling a bit lazy and didn’t pay much mind to them during this listen. Maybe my opinion on the album will improve once I go deeper into it.
