If you see me listening to DSU, no you didn't <3
DSU gets better & better every year, I swear it's aging backwards. DSU is one of the most important and prominent albums in the lo-fi genre and the band camp revolution- and for good reason, too. It's mainly acoustic with soft and subtle vocals and some of G's best writing yet. But when the album branches out is when it's at its best- like the intro of After Ur Gone and the strange start and guitar on Axesteel. This album also follows a great story about growing up and going to college and the fear along with the excitement of leaving home. DSU feels amateur at times, sure, but it's beautiful and sad and the launch of an amazing carer.
