A grand, beautiful, perfect mix of the Abattoir Blues and Ghosteen sounds
It's great and has some jawdropping moments but I find it tough to go through all of it one listen
Crazy good for a double album even if I'm much more into the Abattoir Blues side
So I,ve been listening to this album for about a year now and I was never really sure how to rate this album (or most of The Mountain Goats' albums at that) but today I came to the realisation that this flawed album, in all it's humanness and simplicity, might actually be my favourite album of all time.

Este es un álbum muy especial, tan sincero, inocente y a veces infantil que es imposible no sonreír mientras lo escuchas. El folclore asturiano es extrañamente visceral y este disco ejemplifica ese sentimiento de maravilla.
