what the fuck

Moë - OCCULT
80

Often city-pop/'x'-wave records are implanted nostalgia-bait and nothing more. This is the exception. Great singer and attractive, interesting music throughout

Exodus - Goliath
10

she exodus on my goliath

underscores - U

it's good, but it's a big step towards 'generic pop' compared to prior albums. and, less variety. the middle tracks on the album are strongest

Cavetown - Running With Scissors
55

musically it's all there; cool effects. but the singing just isn't effective and is getting in the way of an otherwise GREAT album

XG - THE CORE - 核
29

GALA slaps but the rest of album doesn't

Sk8star - Designer Junkie
70

some sick tracks here! everything is quality. i'd rate higher if the album was more focused, 20 tracks is too generous mr. sk8

that said, this is a great showcase of sound variety. and because he cast such a wide net here, most listeners will find a handful of tracks that agree with them.

Puma Blue - Croak Dream
70

i'd describe it as a very nice mellowed-down version of model/actriz with some tasteful radiohead influence, surrounded by a haze of the cure's 'disintegration'. all good things, but still with its own uniqueness

cool album

death's dynamic shroud - Heavy Black Heart
69

first 5 tracks are great but then the album falls off hard

Piana - Muse
90

beautiful voice, interesting musical contours, tasteful incorporation of glitch, perfect production

ACO - irony

Closest thing to Vespertine I've been able to find so far. Copying Vespertine is actually a good thing, more people should try it.

Immolation - Adversary
100

i fucking love immolation
riffs here go hard AF

Temple Of Void - The Crawl
29

Instrument tone is good and singer is great. First couple tracks are nice, but then the album kinda turns into boomer/corny metal riffs with strange disco beats.

They're approaching something good, though.

H1-KEY - LOVECHAPTER
29

20, but tbh the first two tracks would have made for BANGER Naruto OPs

Liam Aldous - No City Could Sound
20

has some effects that remind me of bjork's 'vespertine' but it's musically less interesting and the singer is nowhere near as good

Old Sorcery - The Outsider
70

dungeon synth mixed with somewhat-corny-folk-black-metal done well, happy to listen to any time

Gorrch - Stillamentum
90

Deathspell omega but better

Danny L Harle - Cerulean
70

I keep coming back to this album. There's nothing particularly groundbreaking but it's just really good at what it's trying to be. Also Azimuth slaps

Worm - Necropalace
70

this is fucking lit 🔥🔥🔥🔥

real old school sound, touch of dissection, cheesy as hell but in a COOL way
and, i shouldn't need to say this, but THAT ALBUM ART SLAPS
NICE

Fogweaver - Spellwind
60

been churning thru a bunch of d-synth lately and this one is clearly among the best. and that album art is HOT
