Apt title. The same boring, clipped and poorly produced 4/4 rap muzak you've heard a billion times in the last 10 years. You can tell where every song goes like 10 seconds in, and no, the "wall of sound" and density doesn't work in the music's favor when it sounds so bland and uninspired. I can't even think of a creative way to make fun of this! Avoid and listen to Sicko Mobb or something instead
A great romp and a welcome change to the sound of the band. Tons of variation in mood (including some proto-goth songs!), really good compositions and SUPER tight arrangements. Some excellent chording and orchestration decisions on here- like the horn sections, the voice leading and the way the melodies interact with the chords, or the harmonic rhythms which fit excellently with the rhythmic intensity music like this needs. Fine. Not exceptional, and I'd much rather listen to the ska, reggae, and rockabilly this is pastiching, but not really offensive or bad. Just too long and same-y, and the arrangements are pretty typical and expected. Definitely some interesting ideas and the rhythmic variation is nice (which I mean, is to be expected) but its just milquetoast pop music- lacks a lot in memorable melodies or interesting harmonic ideas. Maybe their punk stuff is better?

So many fascinating musical ideas here- I think what surprises me the most is the variety. This isn't really overindulgent or wanky at all, there are tons of great melodic and rhythmic ideas, themes, contrasting motives, in the "head" parts and the SOLOS. The SOLOS here man. They crazy.
