Herbie Hancock - Head Hunters

A jazz classic and for good reason too. A funky and groovy album with the best version of Watermelon Man out there, not to mention the heavy hitting Chameleon and Sly. Herbie at his finest making one of the best jazz-funk albums ever.

Solid. Not bad by any means, makes for some good background music but there is nothing that stands out here. Each song more or less sound like the one before it and after. Cool cover art though.

Khan - Space Shanty

Having taken some issue with the vocal performances on past albums, its nice to hear them work so well here, they really feel like they belong. Gotta thank ... read more

Beautiful. Molina gives an earnest portrayal of his grief and loneliness with bleak lyrics and heavy guitars. Yet, if you listen closely, there is a distinct lifeline of hope throughout the album. In the unknowns of the future, Molina is holding on to something. I don't know what, and I'm not sure he does either, but he hasn't given up on it yet.
