Slayyyter - WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA

Makes me want to try cocaine 👍

Various Artists - HELP(2)
87

Everyone does their part really well. Cameron Winter, BCNR, and Wet Leg were the best IMO.

Baby Keem - Ca$ino
79

Lots of highs with a few low moments. I don’t feel like this is what most people expected after five years but it still is an improvement from his debut IMO. Would recommend.

Armand Hammer - Mercy
75

The rapping on this album is insane but the production is very lackluster at times. Would still recommend though.

Geese - Getting Killed
97

Tax Evasion 👍

An insane blend of groove and emotion. A modern indie rock classic. Also, the last four songs on this album are life changing. Would very highly recommend.

Shoutout to Kenny beats btw

Racing Mount Pleasant - Racing Mount Pleasant

Emily is my current SOTY. My only major complaint about this album is how eerily close it sounds to BCNR sometimes. Other than that, a really amazing start for this band. Would very highly recommend.

McKinley Dixon - Magic, Alive!
96

One of the best jazz rap albums of the decade and an instant classic. Would very highly recommend.

Danny Brown - Stardust
86

Some serious highs on this album and some slight lows. The best produced album from Danny to date. Would highly recommend.

ROSALÍA - LUX

What a great year for music.

Laufey - A Matter of Time

Didn't expect to enjoy this nearly as much as I did. Laufey takes some risks while still staying true to her established sound. Definitely will be revisiting many times. Would highly recommend.

Clipse - Let God Sort Em Out
98

My only notable problem with this album is that the P.O.V. chorus falls flat for me. Outside of that, this is perfect. Would very highly recommend.

Eli The Guy - Chapter IV: Music Man
71

Keep.us and Walahi are amazing songs, but the rest of the tracks aren’t quite up to the same level. Still, it's an enjoyable listen. I would lightly recommend it.

Maruja - Pain to Power
97

The interlude isn’t my favorite but outside of that there really aren’t any other issues. Overall, a very powerful album with some stellar production and almost haunting performances vocally from Harry. Would very highly recommend.

Tyler, The Creator - DON'T TAP THE GLASS
77

Really fun and super concise album. Not the biggest fan of Mommanem but the rest of the tracks are good - great. Overall, this is Tyler’s most accessible project IMO, and I would like to see him further explore dance and funk in the future.

Quadeca - Vanisher, Horizon Scraper

Holy shit

Might be the best album I've ever heard in my life

Jack Harlow - Just Us

Really like the production on this track. The verses and chorus are pretty corny and just mediocre at best.

Quadeca - GODSTAINED

My pants are godstained

Weatherday - Hornet Disaster

🎉 200TH REVIEW!!! 🎉

Weatherday delivers an incredible experience with this album. I had never listened to their music before I came across this LP on the homepage. What a pleasant surprise. This is one of the few albums over 70 minutes long that managed to keep me captivated the entire time. Between the stunning production and passionate vocal performances, what's not to love? I plan to listen to it frequently this year, so I’ll see if it grows on me. Would highly recommend.

Japanese Breakfast - For Melancholy Brunettes (& sad women)

I love Jeff Bridges, but he should not be here

A good album with some great vocals and writing. Just lacking a bit of flare. I really like the production on the intro track but past that point it’s pretty hit or miss. Just feels somewhat hallow and uninteresting at times. Still a good album. Just not one that stands out a whole lot within the discography or in general for me.
