@granolant really felt a need to share this with everyone. However, after listening to the EP, I can’t blame him. Thank you @granolant.
This album gives me the same feeling of listening to late 2010’s KSI. The only redeeming thing about this LP is that it’s funny bad. The production is solid sometimes. Otherwise, it’s pretty dime a dozen.
Very comparable to FKA Twigs new album, “Eusexua”. However, it feels quite hollow and uninteresting at times. Still not a bad listen. Just not the most memorable one.
Such a comforting album. Weyes Blood delivers some top tier vocals with stunning production. Not much here to critique.
Might be a perfect album if “Stop Smoking” wasn’t here.
Best album of all time. “Lover, You Should’ve Come Over” is also the best song of all time.
Pretty corny. Don’t really think I’m going to revisit any tracks past this listen.
This album has some really great moments but drags on at times. If you cut off like 5 songs I think it would go up to a 90/100. Also, Playboi Carti’s feature is my favorite off the album which I didn’t expect.
First time listening to FKA twigs. Some of the influences are very apparent (Bjork and Madonna). However, it still sounds like nothing I’ve heard when these influences are brought together. Also, the simplicity and small amount of lyrics work really well because she makes every word count. Not much is said but the vulnerability is very much there. Super impressed and excited to give it more listens and see how it grows for me.
I feel like this is exactly what Mac was aiming for through his whole career
Really cool album. Holy, Holy is one of the best songs of this year. Would highly recommend.
Probably the worst Kendrick album and it’s still one of the best rap albums of the year. Undefeated.
Second listen edit: I take back what I said. It’s his third best album. It’s crazy how much this is already growing on me. (82 -> 91)
Definitely going to listen a few more times and edit this review if anything changes for me but as of right now… It’s pretty damn good. I’m honestly torn on where I would rank it next to his other albums because it’s different. This is by far the most personal Tyler has gotten so far on any of his LPs. He made it seem like we were getting another Igor with a new character but there’s not really any character for him to hide behind this time. This album is just him ... read more
