Great production and vocals. The chorus isn’t my absolute favorite of hers but it’s not bad by any measure.
Really love the production on this album. A nitpick I have is that the vocals and lyrics can be a bit one dimensional at times. Still a really great album though. Love to see Skye get better with each album.
Definitely exceeded my expectations. The first 6 tracks are really great and feel like some classic 2010’s bangers. Of the last 8 tracks, only really 2 stand out (Shadow Of A Man and Die With A Smile). How Bad Do U Want Me sounds to me a lot more like Taylor Swift than Lady Gaga. Not like there are any bad songs here, just some that are less creative and interesting. Blade of Grass, Zombieboy, and Don’t Call Tonight are just pretty forgettable for me. Still a great album with plenty ... read more
Took some time for this track to grow on me. It’s a very big change up from the last material they released with the live album. However, I don’t think it’s a bad direction at all. May Kershaw delivers an amazing vocal performance with some beautiful production. What’s not to like?
One of my favorite produced albums of the last few years. The rapping performances by Daveed Diggs aren’t the most consistent but when he hits, he really fucking hits. Also the outro might be my favorite song of the year so far. Would highly recommend.
An album so important to its time and with messages that can always be applied to any person of any time. Sonically, Marvin Gaye is able to deliver vocals so smoothly with some amazing production to make everything feel whole. While I prefer Songs in the Key of Life, personally, the impact and performances make this album just as perfect. Would recommend extremely highly.
This is the east coast’s good kid, m.A.A.d city. To be fair, I can completely understand someone considering Illmatic perfect. This is arguably the best rap album to have dropped at the time it came out. However, in modern context, it has been outdone by some albums. That doesn’t mean it isn’t still an amazing album with super valuable lessons and messages about the upbringing of Nasir. I think it’s the most personal and hard hitting album of Nas’s catalog and ... read more
Doom and Madlib are a perfect match. Each track is so concise and able to pack a punch. The way everything flows together sonically and thematically while still sounding fresh and exciting with every track needs to be studied by artists of all genres. An absolute masterpiece.
An album truly deserving of the all the praise. Psychedelic rock at its finest.
Had heard a couple tracks previously and just never got around to a full listen until now. Truly stellar.
