This project has the vibes but feels a bit unbaked. They have decent chemistry and the beats are simple but likeable. While there are some great tracks here (especially White Girls ♥ Devon Hendryx - might be my favorite Devon song), but there are some really mediocre songs like Hotpockets and The Suburbs.
Peggy tries to create a similar distant, but more chill sound than Generation Y, and this time achieves it in a much better way. It all feels more random and hazy, but that's the beauty of it. He didn't do anything too mind blowing, but still tickles your brain in a special way. The lyrics are edgy (and a bit cringe a few times), but it's not that bad, reminds me a lot of Tyler, The Creator's Bastard.
So this is what NAV sound like, huh? The Metro beats were good, nothing too crazy most time, and NAV's performances and rapping was really weak, the lyrics are decent. Everything about this is mediocre.
Why is this so hated? It's just 4 avarage trap songs. Not much to say.
I swear he mentioned Obama like 5 times... Anyways, this project was okay. The vocals feel distant, and he creates a raw and slightly bitter feeling through the entire album. It was pretty creative and decent for a first project, but I think he could've done a lot more.
