Punk weezer. But it’s also energetic and fun, just a blast to listen to.
Fave tracks: Suburban home, Catalina
My favorite thing from the dead kennedys, just a blast
Fave track: Pull my Strings
Honestly this album is just…not good. Franks voice in this is pretty annoying. But it’s still really exciting and just fun to listen to. I enjoyed it
Fave track: Trying to escape the inevitable
I actually love this album even though I was pretty bored my first listen. It's just spacey, sweet and fun.
Fave track: Millions
Just a good albums. Super 90s, super Seattle, super riot grrrl. I love the intensity, the rage, the joy and the thoughtfulness of this record. Soundtrack of last summer.
Fave track: Call the doctor
Only good if you know the lore (but the lore is epic)
Fave tracks: Nanana, Vampire Money, Bulletproof Heart
Least fave track: SING
Probably too high a rating but idc this album means a lot to me. It's fun to see MCR's beginnings, this album was recorded in some guy's basement, and there's some really good stuff on here. Idk i like lore.
Fave tracks: Our Lady of Sorrows, Vampires, Headfirst for Halos
I LOVE YOU THREE CHEERS. Just something about this album that speaks to me so much…it has the same depth and emotion as The Black Parade but you can still taste the rawness of Bullets. This was the soundtrack of so many late summer walks to and from the bus stop.
Fave tracks: Prison, Hang ‘em high, Cemetery Drive, Thank You for the Venom
I mean it’s the black parade. I go insane every time this shit comes on. I’m like rolling on the floor convulsing throwing up screaming etc.
Fave track: Mama, The Sharpest Lives
I don't know why I liked this album less. I'm not sure if it had to do with her new tiktok fan base or that I'd just become burnt out from almost exclusively listening to her stuff for two years. It's still a great, satisfying album though it doesn't quite end with a bang in the way I'd grown to expect.
Fave track: Stay soft
Least fave track: I guess?
A very clear bridge between Makeout Creek and Be the Cowboy to me, with both angry guitar and thoughtful synth. A slay like everything else in her discography. Honestly I forget about this album sometimes but idk why, it's great.
Fave tracks: Your best american girl, Happy, A loving feeling, My body's made of crushed little stars, I bet on losing dogs…
I think when most people think of mitski it's this era and onwards. Great album and what defines mitski's current retro indie pop sound.
Fave tracks: Me and my husband, Remember my name, Lonesome love, two slow dancers, come into the water
Least fave track: A horse named cold air
This shit got me through 2020. I love it. I love Mitski. This album is filled with the same raw emotion of the fist too but by comparison it's loud, punchy, and succinct.
Fave tracks: First love late spring, Drunk walk home, Francis Forever, Townie, Carry me out…
It's the same intense pain and beauty of Lush, but like, better.
Fave tracks: all of em
