i guess he had to miss eventually, such a disappointing album. same boring flow in every song and almost every beat blended together and barely felt “experimental” at all. i wasnt expecting great things after the singles but i expected him to at least try and be unique, but i suppose those days are over
EDIT: i didnt look into the lyrics too much when i listened but they are absolutely terrible. 40 -> 30

probably the first album from this year that i was actually excited to hear, really glad to see them going back to a more crystallize type of sound with this (which is one of my favorite albums). my only gripe with the album is the drums sometimes feel pretty overwhelming in the mix, and i want to hear more of that shoegaze goodness thats getting buried underneath. but otherwise a great record, could see my score going up a bit in the future.
proof that midwest emo is usually just held back by cringey vocals
