Probably 'Abbey Road' is the only The Beatles album I cried listening to. Yes, it is quite inconsistent with it is styles because obviously there were some arguments between the members, but this album has 'Because", "I Want You (She's So Heavy) and 'Something' in it, which are the best The Beatles songs of all time and also the most personal ones to me, so as a guy who have never been a big fan of The Beatles, I find this album one of their bests.
Might actually be the most complete The Beatles album with the biggest amount of bangers in it. It is impossible for me to explain how much I love 'Love You To' and how perfect I find this song as a pop take on Indian music
Short, poetic, cute. I feel like this is a perfect album to start with The Beatles because it is very enjoyable and easy for listening
As a record, 'Help!' might be a mid-tier The Beatles albums, but I just find all other content they made for this album and all its aesthetic super fun and cool, so I can't dislike it
One of my least favorites records of The Beatles. It is forgettable, boring and super inconsistent, most of the songs are just alright or fine. I don't see anything impressive in 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band'. At least there is one of the very few the beatles songs inspired by Indian music, but once again not the best. This record is alright, but pretty much a filler.
One of the easiest Swans albums to listen to, it's even surprising to me that when I first heard it, I couldn't immediately finish listening to it. This record is also interesting in the context of the rest of the band's albums, this is where their sound changed quite radically. Definitely my favorite Swans project yet, but it is also the only one I have a strong rating of.
With every listen I love this album more and more, and every time I prefer different parts of it (and it's quite diverse, but keeps the overall feeling of the album full) so I probably can't write much, because I'm just studying this album, but the fact that I keep discovering new dimensions in an album I've listened to dozens of times already says a lot.
Re-listened to this album on my trip and it's actually very good. Compared to what Porter Robinson is doing now, this is much more lively and diverse music. Fucking sad that we are now experiencing possibly his worst era.
What I appreciate most in music is the sincerity and honesty of the writers, but this album has none of that. Despite even good production, this album feels insanely fake, I don't believe Porter Robinson. After his previous album, this just feels like an attempt to be even more pop and get along with the youth. Perhaps 'Nurture' was simply more meaningful, for it touched on a large span of Porter Robinson's life, but I still can't get the enjoyment I'd like to get ... read more
By far the best Cocteau Twins LP and also one of the best dream pop albums. Of course 'Heaven or Las Vegas' has some filler songs but overall this record a perfect vibe and I recommend everyone trying this album. Actually, the very first song I've heard from this album was 'Frou-Frou Foxes in Midsummer Fires' and I think this is the best song to start for some reason. It is very easy to listen and catchy.
My feelings towards "Brat" are quite weird. This album might be the best produced hyperpop album with interesting aesthetic, and it is definitely a very important part of modern pop culture. However, I don't find this album emotional like at all. It is mostly a filler compared to other hyperpop albums. This is just a very successful commercial product, but nothing more. Charli XCX and producers just continue to explore the things Sophie discovered in her day. Probably on ... read more
My biggest love in music. This album is absolutely brilliant and every moment of it is beautiful. It took me a while to love it as much as I do now. At a certain time I didn't like “Only shallow” because I thought it was too energetic and dynamic and didn't fit the album and I rather highlighted the more melancholic “Sometimes”, however, the more I listened to “Loveless” the more convinced I became that every moment of this album is breathtaking. ... read more
A beautiful dance of love perfectly exploring a sometimes toxic mutual relationship, with a unique and high quality production. There are quite a few standout tracks on the album that are inferior in quality to the rest, which certainly hampers the album, but this instability perhaps emphasizes the album's themes even better, as if to expand on them. The album definitely has its magic. I'm kind of annoyed by the audience the album has gotten thanks to the TikTok, but it's ... read more
Obviously this album is super influential. It perfectly combines rock, noise and even opens up many new genres. However, in general, it follows “White Light/White Heat” in many ways and just makes it sound a bit more pop thanks to Nico. The fact that this album changed music forever cannot be denied, however, I can never love it enough to fully immerse myself in it. Many of the compositions seem unfinished and filler to me, however "European Son" is near perfect.
I expected to like this record more. Basically, 'Charm' faced the same problems as Clairo's previous LPs. It just sounds boring and feels a bit fillerish. Production here feels better than in her other projects, but it is not a large jump in quality, and it was pretty expected. I would say that this album is the horniest of her records yet. As all her previous albums, this one is horny and cozy, so it creates a cute and comfortable space, and might actually become my very ... read more
