I really love Gorillaz and a bunch of the songs on this album, but honestly as a whole I was underwhelmed. I obviously already knew the hits off this but I just got a really good deal on a Cranberries tshirt so I had to listen to this in order to avoid poserhood. As anticipated, I really liked it!! Definitely gonna need a few more listens but this could definitely become a new favorite of mine.
I absolutely love this movie, and this absolutely KILLER soundtrack is definitely a big part of why. Gustavo Santaolalla's (might I add oscar-winning) instrumental scores are obviously iconic and uniquely devastating, but in my opinion, Kathy Nelson deserves just as much credit for creating the movie's musical atmosphere.
