The second half just doesn't pack the same punch as the first half. But oh man. That first half? Some of my favorite Rock n' Roll cuts ever. Seeing them live adds a whole new dynamic to the tracks. 100% these guys got something special.

They manage to capture the sounds of the 70s folk/soft rock movement, yes. But what I love about The Lemon Twigs is that if they had dropped this album back in that time, these songs would rank amongst the best the genre had to offer. Any Time of Day is one of the most perfect pieces of music I've ever heard.

Glorious post rock album. Love the fantastic crescendos, Passionate vocals, and of course the album cover of the year.

The first three songs convinced me this would be a much better album than it actually was.

The more I listen the more blown away I am. The guitar hits HARD. The textures are brilliant. Just another great Porter Robinson track.

I loved The Wheel, the rest didn't quite click, but I really want it too.

Another insane project from one of the EDM goats, Death's Dynamic Shroud. This time they've teamed up with galen tipton to produce the most glitchy electronic music you'll hear all year. An absolute joy to listen too.

A cute little folk project with an unforgettable singer.

"The Return of Innocence Lost" broke my soul into 10,000 pieces.

A dizzying collection of sounds, all strung together by a charismatic lead singer. This will definitely only grow with me on repeat listens.

Billie and Fineas are great at crafting good pieces of art that are brimming with personality.

Edit: 79 to 70. The whole thing felt a bit more bland on second listen.

I prefer other Mitski albums, but this still showcases a lot of talent.

Textbook definition of a perfect Rock album. Every riff hits. Every vocal performance from Julian soars. Every song will be played on college radio stations until the end of time. A magnificent piece of art by practically every metric.

Some duds, but that doesn't distract me from enjoying the he'll out of this new album from Annie.

Had the privilege of these guys live. They really have something here! It's the production and sound of Alvvays with the intensity of a great punk band. Armchair is forever going to be stuck in my head, while Pick at My Face is one of the best indie bops of the year. These guys are really going places and deserve. 10X the popularity.
