JPEGMAFIA in his creatively bankrupt era 🔥🔥🔥
This feels like the least focused and sonically interesting Peggy album of his career. This is largely due to the fact that he has the exact same "fast rap" flow on 90% of the tracks, which just does not sound very good. The production has a few moments where it offers a bit of a pleasant surprise, but for the most part it feels like it's repeating the same vocal loop/electronic production throughout the entire album, making ... read more
This album could have never released and everything in the world would be the exact same. Literally No one will be talking about this at all in like five years
Ever listen to something so stylistically different from anything you've ever heard before that you genuinely have no idea what to rate it
Update I took the time to gather my thoughts and decided that its pretty good
after like 10 listens and some conflicting thoughts I have come to the conclusion that i don't really like it
One of the most underrated Bowie albums, feels absolutely haunting while still being super catchy
I rated it a 5/10 the day it came out why cant i have ANY original fucking opinions fuck you Anthony Fanatano
big jim legxacy fan but I feel like this one lacks the uniqueness felt on every individual BBM track if that makes sense. music video is fire though
This is by far the least innovative or interesting kanye has sounded yet. Don't get me wrong I'd take this over the neo nazi run of singles he went on earlier this year, but despite getting delayed nearly an entire year, this album feels incredibly low effort with a ton of half baked songs squeezed into a fortunately not very long runtime
As someone who didn't really get into Slayyyters previous work or enjoy the singles all to much, listening to this album in full really made me understand what people are raving so hard about for this. The album feels like the perfect length, completely maintaining consistent, fun electronic energy from start to finish and I can no longer say i don't get the hype.
Had a dream where it dropped to a 94 and I woke up in a cold sweat
not as mid as I expected it to be the three singles are just unironically the three worst songs on the album
i was hoping tony the tiger would drop a verse, extremely disappointed
I fucking hate when i listen to an album, form a controversial take on it and then a week later it turns out Anthony Fantano has the exact same hot take. I cant have an original opinion no matter what I do
huge shoutout to Sombr for helping Built to Spill out with track 11
