From the ambitious Nectar, on Smithereens we can see Joji return to more laid-back, lo-fi sound...

... And, honestly, it pains me to see this happening.

After divided reception of Nectar, by fans and critics, I can see George deciding to get back to his older sound, with chill lullaby ballads on top of lo-fi beats, no features, barely no experimentation in sound across 9 tracks of the runtime.
