On Yung Lean - Stranger
"im a noob on this site so lowkey didnt see this comment. there is an entire documentary about what happened before this album and during when he made warlord. he struggled with drugs and eventually had an overdose where he was sent into psychosis. if i remember correctly he then had his manager go get him something because he was seeing things and like hearing voices. his manager got into a car accident and was killed. i believe he found this out while still suffering from drugs and such, this led to him trying to turn around his life and stranger is a big part of that. so to answer your question it was more about what happened during warlord that led to this album being created. this is the documentary if you want: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wgFliyJ4Bk&ab_channel=Noisey"
