Insightful - RABBIT (Deluxe)
86

Insightful is criminally underrated, dude has been making incredible music for a looooong time and only seems to be getting better as time goes on. 33 is still one of my all time favorite albums, this one is definitely his best work since then.

Gareth Donkin - Extraordinary

Banger after banger, absolutely fantastic album

MADEN LANE - MADEN LANE

New kids on the block are killing it, great debut. I'm excited to see where they go from here with such a strong start.

American Road In New Jersey - American Road In New Jersey
94

Fuck, man. I had no idea this was coming out until the day it dropped and what a pleasant surprise. I haven't felt such warmth from an album since Noname dropped Telefone back in 2016. I haven't listened to JAmes Ivy before, but I'll absolutely be checking him out after this. What a gorgeous project.

Roy Blair - sunsets
73

Solid as hell EP even all these years later. You can tell this is still a very young, underdeveloped sound for Roy but it definitley planted the seeds of his style. Very raw.

Fave tracks: CHERRY TREE, MOMENTS, CLEAN, SUNSETS

Sasha Keable - Man
77

She has such a powerful, soothing, seductive voice. It's so easy to get lost it in alongside the smooth and almost dreamy production. "Under Your Skin" is definitely my favorite out of the bunch. Super solid EP.

Childish Gambino - 3.15.20
84

Having listened to Atavista, I can't deny that I prefer the original version to it's more polished counterpart. The rougher, muddier mixes give each track so much character, along with the sometimes jarring and even awkward transitions. Something about this hits different than Atavista, it feels so much more tied to the moment it was released. This album lived with me through all of 2020 ad beyond, so perhaps I'm too married to it.

Azealia Banks - Broke with Expensive Taste
85

Such a great album and ahead of the curve. If only Banks weren't such an objectively terrible person.

Gareth Donkin - Suite Escape
86

Another review called this "quirked up white boy bedroom pop Michael Jackson" and I can't think of a more perfect description.

FELIVAND - In Bloom

Faves: Same Old, Black Paper Plane, C'est La Vie

Mamii - Black Phoeniix
79

Underrated af.

FAVES: Intimate, Toxic, Creepiin

Lauryn Hill - The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill
86

Legendary album, the praise 100% warranted

Chance the Rapper - STAR LINE
77

A beautiful return to form from Chance. After "The Big Day", wasn't sure if the guy still had it in him, but he definitely proved a lot of people wrong. This is a more seasoned, mature Chance. You can tell he's had a lot of life experience in between this and his previous album. While it's still not as good as "Coloring Book", it's still a pretty good album.

Welcome back, Chance.

Remi Wolf - I'm Allergic To Dogs!
84

Fun as hell, Remi Wolf put together a super tight EP with this one. Was perfect to lift my spirits in the dreary year that was 2020 and continued to do so to this day. Dope.

Noya Rao - Icaros
90

Phenomenal album from a criminally underrated band, more people need to talk about them.

Chance the Rapper - The Big Day
35

Only songs I like are Eternal and Handsome, everything else is dogwater tbh.

Gus Dapperton - Where Polly People Go To Read
81

Genuinely underrated IMO.

FAVES: Nomadicon, My Favorite Fish, Coax & Botany, World Class Cinema

Emotional Oranges - Orenjii
67

Not bad but def not their best work.
