honestly some of the songs should've sounded bad but for some reason each song is accompanied with this old-timey cozy feeling which tickles my brain the right way. Not entirely surely how to feel about this album yet honestly and probably need to relisten. In the aeroplane over the sea -> two-headed boy -> the fool -> holland, 1945 was a great 4 song run though

Not only was the album + the album movie a masterpiece on first listen, but it somehow still gets better every time I relisten?
This is one of my favourite albums ever released honestly. Sonically it's punching, muddy, with these all-consuming indie-rock synths that just blend into one another. The whole album creates this layer of cohesive sound that feels like one big song. However, each song still feels unique to one another.
